Welcome to the blog that almost never got started. You know the saying, “All diets start tomorrow”? Well, for the longest time my wife and I have been saying I should start a blog. We would rack our brains trying to figure out a cleaver name for it. I would say things and she would respond with, “that would be a good blog post.” You see, my wife is better than me at everything. She already has a blog. It rocks, check it out here. So this blog is NOT an attempt to be as good as her at something… it’s an attempt to be better.
The Name: Procrastinating Tomorrow wasn’t my first choice for the name of this blog. See my first post to see what that was. The more I think about it though the more I love the name Procrastinating Tomorrow. Here is why, if we procrastinate tomorrow, tomorrow will never come. Romans 13:11-13a says,“This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see.”
The whole point of this blog is not to tell stories of how we can put things off, although I am sure some will appear. The whole point of this blog is to help us live for today. I don’t want to be guilty of wasting my life away. I hope this blog helps us all live decent lives, today.
