The Olympics of London 2012 are over.
I am sure that there isn’t much more that can be said about them that has not been written.
Weird at times.
Amazing at times.
Victorious at times.
Defeated at times.
This is the beauty of the Olympic spirit.
While I drove into work today I heard two different U.S. Olympians on two different radio shows.
That’s right… you only thought you were done with them.
Now… as gold medalists… they begin to make their rounds…
radio shows… tv shows… and probably even a few soap operas.
We tend to elevate winning.
Dare I say we even tend to worship winning.
It’s easy to elevate the successes.
Success is always the goal.
But it has been said that…
Success begins with failure.
We all have failed.
The question however is not have you failed?
The question is what have you done with your failure?
Have you taken that failure and used it for motivation?
Motivation to work harder.
Motivation to succeed.
The bible teaches us that we have all failed…
Romans 3:23 – For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
But the Bible also shows us how we can all achieve victory.
Romans 8:37 –No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
Victory is ours.
But it is not accomplished through us.
It’s accomplished through Him… Jesus… who took on our defeat… to give us victory.
As you live for today… don’t live life defeated.
Live life in victory.
You are victorious… through Jesus Christ.
If you chose to begin a victorious life today… please… share it with us in the comment section.
This victory is fare greater than any gold medal.
What makes you feel the most defeated?
What gives you the greatest sense of victory?
