Some Things Cannot Be Procrastinated

This past week Illinois Governor Pat Quinn announced the closing of 14 different state facilities.
2 juvenile prisons… and 12 other facilities.
Of which include the Warren G. Murray Medical Developmental Center.

There are times when procrastination is not an option.
This is one of those times.
We must be willing to stand up and fight… pray… and support one another.

The devastation that comes with slashing jobs is more than painful.
Pain that government officials cannot relate to.
Anguish that families experience that government officials never deal with.

If Warren G. Developmental Center is closed 275 residence will be without a home.
If Warren G. Developmental Center is closed some 550 employees will be without a job.

This is not just about Murray Center.
This is also about the 13 other facilities that are facing termination.
Is this really what our nation has come to?

This is America for cryin out loud…
The land of the free…
The home of the brave…
The land of the living…
The place of the prosperous.

Our land is hurting.
The Bible has something to say about land that is hurting…

2 Chronicles 7:14
My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

Our land needs healing.

We cannot procrastinate praying for our land.
Please join me in praying for Murray Center… Illinois… and The United States of America.

When times of devastation come your way… what picks you up?

If you would like to help us keep Warren G. Murray Developmental Center open… sign one of the many petitions here.
