Procrastinating A Broken Heart

Rivers of tears gush from my eyes
      because people disobey your instructions.
Psalm 119:136
What breaks your heart?

Does the thought of someone disobeying God’s instruction break your heart
just as much as the child left all alone to raise themselves.

Does the thought of your enemy disobeying God’s instruction break your heart just as much as
a puppy sitting outside in the rain… wet… stinky… and starving?
Okay so maybe that’s not a fair example.
Psalm 119 is all about a love for God’s Word and God’s instruction.
The author is saying that he weeps for the person that disobeys God.
When you think about the result of disobedience to God… the result should be heart break.
Eternal separation from God.
Heart crushing.

This heart break should motivate us to evangelize.
Every week at church our pastor concludes the service by saying, “Share your faith this week.”
If our hearts actually broke for those who do not follow God’s instruction…
We wouldn’t have a choice in not evangelizing.

The problem is… this is something we all procrastinate.

Don’t procrastinate a broken heart.
Use a broken heart as motivation.
Motivation to share your faith.

What often keeps you from sharing your faith?
