Just Yesterday…

February 28, 2011

Last night my mom and dad came to town.  They offered to take us to dinner so of course we said sure. This———————->
Was taken right after Graham had shot the lady in the booth next to us with his straw wrapper. True story.

After we had gotten home and put the kids in bed my wife and I were on the computer and noticed that my lovely mother had posted this picture to her Facebook page.  As we glanced at her photos we noticed how much our kids have grow in just the last two years.

April 2009

<———  This seems like yesterday.
But it wasn’t.  It was almost 2 years ago.  When I asked Tanya when this picture was taken her answer… “Last summer.”  So we checked.  Spring 2009.  Just yesterday.

Now, my baby is 5 years old. Sings Justin (Bieber) Beaver songs and starts Kindergarten in August.  Time flies.

Tomorrow she will be 16 years old and driving her and her brother to high school.  But today… they are my babies and I will cherish that while it lasts.

Here is a peak at what my yesterday looked like ——>

Pretty scary huh? I remember when this picture was taken. It was just yesterday…

14 You don’t even know what tomorrow will bring—what your life will be! For you are a bit of smoke that appears for a little while, then vanishes.

Live for today.  Not yesterday.  Not Tomorrow… Today.
What memories of yesterday do you have that help you live for today?

  1. The last pic is my babies….a little longer than yesterday. I remember it quite well though but I don’t miss those days of having to push your brother onto the school bus and the bus driver pulling the door closed so he couldn’t get out. I also don’t miss the HS dating times or you taking my car out with your brother and getting into a seat, the next morning, that is wet with febreeze. See what you have to look forward to?!

    1. Mom-
I’m trying to run a respectable blog here. You mean, “The last pic is OF my babies”. And uh… I told you… I have no idea what you are talking about wet seats in the car. Why would there be wet seats in the car? Don’t answer that! Smells like another Mishap Monday post.
